We Move The World Together.

When we move together, anything is possible.

As an industry leader, Daimler Truck North America is committed to reflecting the diversity of our world within our company and fostering an environment where everyone knows they belong.

Our duty is to listen and facilitate understanding; not as a condition, but as an act of conscience. Our duty is to touch the hearts and open minds. By engaging in this meaningful effort, we all benefit.

A more diverse team makes us stronger, smarter and more self-aware. That diversity of perspective and thought are a distinct advantage that allows us to serve our customers with innovative products, technologies and services both today and well into the future.

Omega STEM Initiative

Championed by the SEAD Carolinas Community Outreach Committee, the Omega STEM initiative is designed to inspire young minds to pursue technical careers and help students with job skills in coding, robotics, electronics, technology, energy and engineering.

Women In Trucking

The transportation industry and its employees are rapidly transforming. Collaborating with Women in Trucking (WIT) provides both DTNA and its employees a forum to share thoughts on that transformation, envision the industry’s future and work toward greater inclusion of a workforce as rich in thought and perspective as our society. WIT’s mission of increased gender diversity has been instrumental in bringing new ideas, greater innovation, and improved opportunities to the larger industry we serve. We support the WIT community and their aim to build a strong, connected community of business professionals and professional drivers, and we are committed to shaping the future of our industry, along with WIT, by supporting, promoting, and celebrating gender diversity.

Here are some actions we’ve taken to bring about meaningful change

Honoring MLK Day as a Day of Service

In 2021, DTNA designated Martin Luther King Jr. Day as a paid holiday where employees are empowered to volunteer with organizations of their choosing to advance racial and social equity, as well as benefiting their communities. This Day of Service will be recognized annually.

Company-wide Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) training

Employees participate annually in DEI training in order to create an environment of mutual respect in which all feel acknowledged, heard and valued.

Diversity Day

DTNA employees participate annually in a Diversity Day, a day devoted specifically to education and brave conversations regarding diversity in our workplace. In 2021 & 2022, it was led by our executive leadership following a "Day of Understanding" training for those facilitators.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Champions Program

The DEI Champions Program will provide training, structure and opportunities for employees who are inspired to raise awareness within the company and in the community about DEI.
