Daimler Truck North America and the team at Thomas Built Buses are working diligently to make battery-electric school buses a viable option for school districts from Alaska to Florida, but the route isn’t always a straight line. Adding electric buses to a fleet requires navigating a complex ecosystem that includes infrastructure, financing, operations and, of course, the bus itself. That’s why we employ a team of EV specialists with the experience, expertise and partnerships to help navigate the road to electric bus implementation. That kind of customer support complements our all-electric Thomas Built Buses Saf-T-Liner C2, affectionately named Jouley™, which is already at work transporting students.
At Daimler Truck North America, our commitment to the efficient, tailpipe emissions-free commercial vehicle technology of tomorrow is steadfast, unwavering and happening today. Like our traditional approach to creating the most efficient and safest trucks on the road, our eMobility strategy includes our established technological expertise, coupled with unparalleled customer experience and a dedicated team of the best engineers in the industry. With the help of our partners, we are rapidly approaching our goal to deliver series-produced eCascadia and eM2 models in 2022, and we are already delivering Jouley today. With our unmatched service infrastructure, world-class safety systems and advanced telematics—we are set to lead a quieter, cleaner, connected electric future.
Whatever the task, Daimler Truck North America is dedicated to offering a safe, reliable, electric solution that delivers. From heavy-duty Class 8 electric semi-trucks and medium-duty electric box trucks, to electric school buses, and electric walk-in vans, Daimler has a modern, road-tested truck designed for the job, with zero emissions at the tailpipe.
